A Day in Learning at Purpose Prep Academy
What a Day at Purpose Prep Academy Looks Like
Mindful Start + Independent Reading: Begin the day with a short mindfulness routine to get students centered, followed by 20 minutes of independent reading to build literacy and focus.
Personalized Academic Learning (ELA + Math): Dive into personalized English Language Arts and Math blocks, ensuring each child is working at their level with individualized support. These academic blocks encourage skill-building through engaging, project-based learning.
Language Learning: Dedicate 20-30 minutes daily to learning a new language, allowing students to explore and develop global communication skills.
Social Time: Every day includes a generous amount of social time for students to connect with peers, either through free play, guided discussions, or group activities, promoting emotional and social development.
Extracurriculars/Enrichment: Explore creative and extracurricular activities that challenge students outside of core academics. Activities may include visual arts, music, science experiments, coding, and creative writing, encouraging students to develop new skills and discover personal passions. These hands-on experiences help foster creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities in a fun, engaging way.
Lunch & Break: A midday break for lunch where students can relax, recharge, and enjoy socializing with peers.
Hands-On Project/STEAM Fridays: Fridays feature hands-on STEAM projects or field trips, with virtual options for online learners, offering deeper exploration into creative, scientific, and technical topics.
